DESTINATION DESTINY

As part of a train from Kosice to Bratislava, there was a 'LiTrain' carriage attached – a carriage in which discussions about literature as well as public readings of poetry and prose fragments were organised. The readings happened alternately with performance happening within 'Transart Communication'. My performance was based on relationships and the meanings of the words 'destination' and 'destiny'. where the first means the aim of a travel, a direction of travel, and the second – fate. I attached 'a badge', with the combination of the words inscribed on it, onto a red dress which I wore.

During the performance I would approach each individual participant present in the carriage and I would ask them to show me their tickets. Next, after a longish locking of my gaze on the 'checked' person, I would hand a piece of paper with the following text: 'When you change your destination, you change your destiny'. After kissing the person on his/her cheek, I would approach the next person.
